JOGLE Charity Ride Supported by JE James Cycles
The Jogles are 4 cyclists, Tony Deakin, David Ashmore, Muneer Saif and Richard Barr plus our driver Keith Ellis, together we will be riding from John O' Groats to Lands' End over 10 consecutive days beginning on 8th September 2018.
Their aim is to raise £2500 for the Weston Park Cancer Charity.
Weston Park is the regions only cancer hospital, providing care for thousands of patients across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire. Weston Park Cancer Charity is committed to funding things that the NHS is not able to in order to offer the best possible care to patients and their loved ones.
Research treatments and cancer care are some of the few things Weston Park Cancer Charity funds - with the charity currently funding 20 innovative research projects, including projects to improve treatments for breast, bone, skin, lung and prostate cancer.
To help care for patients and their families, the Cancer Information and Support Centre is provided, as for many people, the hardest thing about cancer is not the disease itself, but the enormous strain it places on emotions, relationships and finances. For this reason the Charity continues to provide the Majority of the funding for the Support Centre at Weston Park, which provides information, expert advice and direct support for patients and their families.
Last year the centre had over 10,000 requests for support and advice for patients, their carers and the bereaved, ensuring your donation will go towards those living with cancer and beyond.
Je James Cycles Supporting Team JOGLE
JE James Cycles are proud to be assisting the JOGLE team in their campaign to raise money for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity. As a company, we owe our success to our loyal customers and the towns and cities in which our stores are based. So when we were approached to contribute to not only a great cause but also a local charity we jumped at the chance. Supporting local communities is something we feel strongly about and we hope to continue to be a supporting role in any areas that promote health and wellbeing.
