From their humble beginnings in southern california back in 1972, GT continue to remain true to their bxm and mountain bike heritage. Mixing performance with fun, GT continue to deliver bikes that ensure the rider has fun, wherever they are. GT believe that fun is serious business.

As a company, GT are 44 going on 18. And they wouldn’t have it any other way. They continue to belive that riding bikes should be fun and development and technological advancement is only important if it makes the bike better by being more fun to ride

In the beginning Gary Turner (GT) considered the BMX frames currently available as not durable enough. So in 1972, he created the first GT frame for his son to race on the SoCal BMX circuit. The frame was very well received. GT Bicycles was started with a simple vision to help riders discover what is possible on two wheels by creating reliable and innovative frames. GT bikes went from strength to strength winning many BMX competitions than any other brand of the era. In 1987 GT applied the same attitude to the new sport of mountain biking, with one aim, to design the best bikes in the world. In 1985 GT started to develop full suspension for their mountain bikes and introduced the very reliable and efficient i-Drive suspension. GT continues to develop their bikes and have ventured into road, hybrid and gravel alongside their range of BMX and mountain bikes.

GT bikes continue to adopt new tehnologies, with production 29rs and a new carbon frame construction methond. Working alongside some of the best riders around, GT hope to inspire and develop new tech that allows all riders to perform at their best.
