HISTORY

In the beginning Gary Turner (GT) considered the BMX frames currently available as not durable enough. So in 1972, he created the first GT frame for his son to race on the SoCal BMX circuit. The frame was very well received. GT Bicycles was started with a simple vision to help riders discover what is possible on two wheels by creating reliable and innovative frames. GT bikes went from strength to strength winning many BMX competitions than any other brand of the era. In 1987 GT applied the same attitude to the new sport of mountain biking, with one aim, to design the best bikes in the world. In 1985 GT started to develop full suspension for their mountain bikes and introduced the very reliable and efficient i-Drive suspension. GT continues to develop their bikes and have ventured into road, hybrid and gravel alongside their range of BMX and mountain bikes.
