JE James Cyclefest 2018

Cyclefest is the largest bike demo event in the UK and it is back by popular demand for the Sixth time running. With more bikes, more brands, and a fantastic venue.

Situated in the heart of Rother Valley Country park just 5 minutes from junction 31 of the M1 Rother Valley is the perfect bike playground for cyclists of all abilities. Cyclefest takes in the best of the
surrounding lake, woodlands, and trails to bring you the very best Mountain, E-bike, & Cyclocross bike stomping ground we could possibly offer.
With everything from paved Lakeside bicycle-friendly pathways to technical red and black routes. Unfortunately this year we will not be offering road or children's bike demo's.

You can be apart of Cyclefest 2018 for as little as £7.50 for a full days riding and tickets can be easily booked online via our online ticket system so you can be sure that you’ll get booked in early.
The booking system operates on a first come first serve basis so it pays to be an early bird.

Test demo bikes from the UK’s largest fleet with all manner of bikes ranging from full suspension mountain bikes right through to Bosch powered fat bikes and many many more,

What To Bring


ID, Bank Card & Cash for parking

You won’t be able to demo any bike at Cyclefest unless we have both your Photo ID & bank Card. The only exception to this policy allows Parents to use their ID & Bank Card
to secure a junior bike for their children. (Under 18’s only)
Every adult rider must bring 2 forms of ID. One must be a Photo I.D = Drivers Licence or Passport and one must be a Bank Card = Credit Card
or Debit Card and both cards information must match. Without these I.D's you will not be able to demo a bike.
Parking services are provided by Rother Valley Country Park With Parking costing £5 per car per day. JE James Cyclefest has no control over changes to pricing.



Helmet & Protection

You won’t be able to demo any bike at Cyclefest without a helmet regardless of pre-booking. We will not have any helmets for demo, however, Rother Valley hire centre will have a small number of helmets available but this is not guaranteed and these will be issued on a first come first serve basis with a small hire fee payable to the Rother Valley country park.
Arm, Body & Leg protection is recommended in particular for riders using the red and black routes, however, this equipment is not essential to your participation.

What do I need to bring to Cyclefest


You won't be able to participate without bringing a form of photographic ID a bank card and a EN1078 standard helmet. Click here to see the full list of equipment we recommend.


Is there parking available?


There is parking available in Rother Valley Country Park priced at £5 per vehicle. Parking is payable at the gatehouse on Pithouse Lane and is cash only Cyclefest has no control over the price of parking at Rother Valley parking charges are subject to change. We will update this section as soon as possible upon any change to pricing. there is free parking available outside grounds.


How do demo rides work? And how long are they?


Each demo ride is a maximum of 40 minutes long and is limited to the Rother Valley country park area. Each rider can choose a trail suitable to their own skill level. Once your 40 minutes is up there will be a transition period for maintenance and new demo rides.


Can I book more than one demo ride?


You test as many demos as are available on the day. Each demo ride should be no longer than 40 minutes, we request that every rider respects the demo timings in accordance with our T&C's


I want to follow my own route for the demo, is this possible?


This is at the discretion of the event management on the day, we will need to provide you with emergency contact details whilst you're out on a ride. Unfortunately we cannot allow any demo rider to leave the park whilst on demo.


How do I book a specific bike demo?


You can use our online Booking System to book a slot at Cyclefest. If you are booking on behalf of another person please use the booking system to enter their details separately. Due to an increase in popularity we are unable to take specific bike bookings. Any riders wishing to demo specific bikes are advised to arrive as early as possible to ensure their chosen bikes availability.


What time does Cyclefest start and finish?


The first demo ride starts at 9:00am with one demo ride starting every hour. The last demo ride checks out at 4:30pm.


What is there to do at Rother Valley country park for the family to do?


There's lots to do at Rother Valley besides Cyclefest, everything from playgrounds right through to wake boarding and water zorbing, These other activities are provided by Rother Valley country park and are chargeable. For full pricing details please Click Here
